Therapeutic but non-clinical in nature, sessions are ripe with evidence-based knowledge and wisdom. Shared classes and support groups may reveal personal narratives, and require a commitment to privacy on behalf of any fellow attendees.
Ask This Black Doula: an open Q&A edu-session powered by your most pressing questions and this Black doula’s answers about pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. Designed to encourage you as you’re journeying to new, or new again motherhood.
Labor & Birth, Physiologically Speaking: this class offers necessary insight into the mind and body processes and connections that makes good space for physiological/natural birthing experiences. If you are planning to labor and birth unmedicated, this class will encourage and inspire you.
What You Need To Know About Breastfeeding Your Newborn: this class is designed to provide you with vital information about breastfeeding your newborn. Class will include experience-based and research-founded information on topics such as: preparation during pregnancy, myths and culturally-relevant considerations, milk production and hormones, feeding cues and effective latching, and designing a supportive breastfeeding environment.
Postpartum + Marriage/Motherhood/Me: this support group is for mothers seeking comfort in the relationship between their early postpartum years and their marriages, motherhoods, and (me) selves. Massaging the places where we can mother more ease.

Most mornings at dawn, rain or shine, you can meet me at a trailhead in Mecklenburg County - Huntersville, North Carolina, to be specific - for a lovely walk alongside. This is a beautiful time to move your body, and have casual + insightful conversations about matters of pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, motherhood, and the rich, everyday experiences of your journey and our collective. *CLT-local clients

Birth preferences and postpartum planning need and deserve good information and design, ahead of time. I’ll elevate the knowledge, resources, and wisdom you need to make informed choices about your care, your birth, and your baby in your birthing place, host conversation to thoughtfully design for your postpartum needs, and highlight what and who you need to embrace good, supportive plans for both.
I'll design a Birth Preferences PDF (aka "The Birth Plan") for you to give and talk over with your PCP, and bring with you to your birthing place.

Birth, in all of its ways, is incredible.
We have prepared for this moment, the time has come. Whenever you're ready, I’ll travel to support and comfort you (& your partner), protect sacred space and deliver a vibe (think lighting, soothing aromas, massage) so that you can focus within.
Early guidance and continuous labor + birth support is provided in your home, birthing center, or hospital of choice or need. If your birth day has been pre-arranged or urgently scheduled, I will accompany you according to birthing place guidelines and encourage a soothing tone for the welcoming.
Amateur (but lovely) iPhone photography is included, if you'd like, and when situationally supported.

After birth, I will remain with you for an hour or more to ensure you’re settling in with your new love, and encourage your golden hour and its beauty.
In the following days, we'll visit to see how feelings and feedings are going. I’ll continue checking in on you for your first six weeks postpartum, encouraging healthy integration into this new, beautiful life.

Let's Journey: Birth Continuum Guidance is beautifully translated for both travel + virtual support, with unique pricing and nuance available upon inquiry.
Payment may be delivered via Zelle® or with any major debit or credit card (with 3% transaction fee per payment) - including HSA or FSA cards - and processed through Stripe® and through Quickbooks® plus Apple Pay.
Monthly payment plan is available with $750 retainer fee due upon hire and full payment satisfied by your 36th expected week of pregnancy.
HSAs, HRAs and FSAs reimburse for doula support and may require a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN). Speak with your maternal health primary care provider (Midwife or OB/GYN) about providing such. Furthermore, if your insurance company covers all, or a portion of doula support fees, I can provide a detailed invoice (complete with my NPI and taxonomy code), my certification documents, and a letter for services rendered.
